Impressed with Sister’s New Seagrass Basketweave Area Rugs

My husband and I recently visited my sister and brother-in-law in California.  Since our last visit their house has been completely redecorated.  All the rooms have been freshly painted and each one has new hardwood floors and area rugs, window treatments, and furniture.  The rooms were painted in neutral colors with the draperies and furniture providing the color.  I really like the area rugs she choose for the living room, bedrooms, and kitchen.  I had never seen anything like them before.  The area rugs are made from natural seagrass.  They wear well even in high traffic areas.  The seagrass basketweave rugs my sister choose are honey colored with sage or chocolate edging.  She told me they are becoming extremely popular because they are environmentally friendly as well as attractive and durable.
