Cleaning fish aquariums is complicated; however, it is an important process in aquarium maintenance. Cleaning your fish aquarium on regular basis will keep the aquarium environment clear and healthy. To start with, you will need to purchase few basic cleaning types of equipment such as an algal scrubber, a soft bristle scrub brush, a fish net, gravel vacuum, and aquarium cleaner. Cleaning tanks once a week or at least once a month is always a good idea. In addition, removing few types of equipment at one time for cleaning purpose will be good for your aquarium because most of the equipments will have useful bacteria growing on them. Adding alga-eating fish is also a good option for controlling excessive algal growth, but cleaning tank by maintaining adequate algae is crucial.
