An affair that led to marriage counseling

My husband and I have been having problems for a year and I never understood why. I always tried to be a good wife and mother. We had just had a baby when things started to unravel. He just told me yesterday that he had had an affair right after the baby was born and had a relationship with her. He said he wanted to go to Marriage Counseling with me if I thought that there was any chance I could forgive him. For our children’s sake I said I would go but I think it will be a long time before I can trust him again.
