See Improvements with Acne Scar Treatment

For reasons that are not understood, some people develop severe acne that leads to permanent and sometimes disfiguring scarring.  Unfortunately, this was the case for me.  I have learned the term scarring refers to a process where collagen within the skin is damaged from inflammation, leading to permanent texture changes in the skin.  Luckily, there are several good acne scar treatment options available to help treat the scars acne left behind.  I am currently consulting with a dermatologist to see which treatment would work best for me.  Acne scarring is permanent but can be treated, although no treatment is one hundred percent effective.  They tell me the best I can expect to see is improvement, but certainly not perfection.
