My Husband Changed His Gout Treatment Due to Colchines Side Effects

October 8th, 2009

My husband Brent thought he had bumped his leg when it began to swell.  Instead of going away the pain and swelling to so painful he had to go to the doctor.  It turned out that my husband has gout and was prescribed colchicines.  As relieved as he was that he began feeling somewhat better, he hated the nausea and cramping, which he found are common colchicines side effects.  I did an online search to find out everything about the disease and discovered that some foods work to relieve symptoms.  We changed Brent’s diet and he began to improve in days.  That was the end of both the gout symptoms and the medicine.
