Canadian Platinum Bullion from Northwest Territorial Mint
They say you should not put all of your eggs into one basket, and this should apply to precious metals portfolios as well. There are some that think if you want to own precious metals there are only a few options for you – gold or silver, and bars or coins. Well, that isn’t necessarily true. Northwest Territorial Mint has one of my favorite non-gold, non-silver bullion coins – the Canadian Platinum Maple Leaf bullion coin.
This platinum coin fits right in line with the other bullion coins produced by the world renowned Royal Canadian Mint. It made from .9995 fine platinum. The obverse carries the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, while the reverse features the well known maple leaf- the national symbol of Canada.
