We are moving to Minnesota

My wife and I have both just landed jobs in the state of Minnesota. I will be teaching English in high school and my wife will be working at the local hospital as nurse. Together we will be making over $100,000 each year. We are renting a small apartment and both our cars are paid for. We need to look for an independent financial advisor to get us started on a investment program. We think that we will have around $2000 each month to invest and our goal is to have our account be large enough in the next 7 years to buy a home with no mortgage.
