Those Are Rough Years

October 15th, 2009

In the first five years of your marriage, it seems that everything is so expensive. You go from having nothing as newlyweds, to being a couple with children. That whole time is pretty much spent in buying things. Cars that fit your growing family, furniture for your empty apartment, baby supplies, a house… You get the picture. Before you know it, you’re applying for a debt consolidation loan just to reign it all in. Hopefully, by that time, you have enough resources that you can start to think more long term and have a better financial footing. Those first years are a bit rough, though.
