Long Tail Keywords Bump Up My Results

It is an interesting animal the internet search. I have studied it and tried to sort out what it is that I need to be doing to get more hits on my site and raise the traffic that goes there. I know about optimizing the search engines and I have done what I can with the placement of my words but there is another aspect I am exploring now and that is called long tail keywords . This is the concept of less frequently searched words and phrases that will hit for me and due to the lower frequency of searches I will be higher overall.
