We Made the Rain Work for Us

Anyone who has ever lived in a rainy part of the country knows that some states get an enormous amount of rain, especially in the summer months.  I learned this  when my husband’s business transferred us to Seattle, Washington.  For two years I watched the rain fall and thought that it was a shame all that water was being wasted.  When I told my husband, we decided to find out if we could capture the rain and use it to cut down on our water bill.  We investigated rain barrel systems and found that they are very affordable.  Now I look forward to those drizzly days, knowing that at least one utility bill has been cut in half.

Lesser-known resveratrol benefits

I understand that we live in a culture that is obsessed with youth. So it’s no wonder that when people want to talk about resveratrol benefits that they would focus on its amazing property to keep us younger looking and a younger feeling. But what’s amazing to me is that no one is talking about the real health benefits and instead focusing on superficial things that really don’t matter when you come right down to it. For example, would you rather look younger or be able to dramatically lessen your risk of getting cancer? I know what I would choose, but some people would rather look good than feel good.
