Convenience is Key: Scheduling Software

It’s a busy world out there. Moms and dads and kids are busy, employers and employees are busy, doctors and patients are busy. We’re ready to try just about anything that will add a bit of convenience to our hectic lives. When your customers call to make an appointment, does the receptionist put them on hold (love that music), transfer them to a scheduler, put them on hold again (la la la), and then still spend 5+ minutes trying to find a date and time that will work for them? Enter scheduling software. Scheduling software allows your customers to make an appointment online 24/7, whenever it’s convenient for them.

Secure Mailbox

In our business we deal with a lot of money changing hands and while the mail usually carries a lot of checks, I am sure that having an unsecured mailbox is not exactly what our customers would consider safe. I want to make sure that we get a stainless steel mailbox that can only be operated by the post office and by the person in the office that has a key. We need to make sure that if we have to leave our mail in the box over the weekend that it will be undisturbed and safe for us to get first thing Monday morning.

Relocating to Canada

A few months ago, I found out that I was going to relocate my family to Canada because of my job.  They needed someone to take over as branch manager in a small paper company.  One of the chief concerns that I had was weather or not our health insurance would work over there.  I found out about a website called Kanetix.ca, where I can look up and compare rates on dental insurance plans, health insurance plans, and even mortgages!  This was all good news, because if the kids like there, we’re thinking about becoming citizens.  We’ll see how it goes though.

Some types of software I was searching for on the Internet

The other day I came to the conclusion that I needed to get some speech recognition software. My typing speed has always been around 45 words per minute. The reason for this is I broke my right hand playing football many years ago and it never healed right. I went on the Internet in search of software that I could utilize my work. In addition to some speech recognition software I found on sale, I found some voice biometrics software that looked pretty interesting. I ended up copying down the web address for this company because I knew my brother would be interested in it.
